There are a number of things that make the Wisp a great CPAP mask choice. I really enjoy the size and comfort level of this CPAP mask. Being a nasal mask, it doesn’t have the bulky feel like some other CPAP masks have.
I’ll say it again. Being lightweight makes a huge difference in compliance with a CPAP mask. If it is not bulky, but still has a good fit, you are so much more likely to wear your CPAP mask, and often.
The Wisp offers a lightweight alternative to many bulky CPAP mask options. Being a nasal mask allows you to have the freedom to move around in the night without waking up.
A comfortable CPAP mask is as good as gold in my book. The same thing applies with comfort as being light weight. Compliance is something that needs to be covered for first time CPAP mask users.
If the CPAP mask is not for yourself, a loved one will want something that they can use every night without much of a struggle. A nasal pillow covers less surface area making less indentation in your skin.
The nasal pillows are made in several different sizes to fit your nose and face the best. It’s all about custom fitting so that you don’t have to worry about it being too big or too small.
Easy to Use
The Wisp CPAP mask is really easy to use! Phillips Respironics is a quality company with a lot of great customer reviews. I love that you don’t have a lot of hassle or messing around to use this system or it’s mask.
There’s always at least one negative on any product. With the Wisp Nasal CPAP mask, I found hardly any. The few things I did find seem pretty minor, but they are worth mentioning.
The portion of the mask that goes in your nose, the nasal pillow, can be a little stiff to start off with. I’ve read that a lot of customers do say they loosen up fairly soon after use, but the first couple of nights are uncomfortable.
The other issue I have found is that those people requiring a high pressure setting with their CPAP mask struggle with the Wisp. It just doesn’t have enough oomf behind it to carry out the high pressure needs.
If any of these issues make you doubt buying this mask, that means it is not for you. That’s just fine! Check out my article, Top 8 CPAP MASKS of 2017 to find the right CPAP mask for you.
